Tendo obtido o privilégio de ver retomar por Michel Foucault uma proposição que eu tinha lançado um pouco por provocação, decretando que os conceitos não eram, no fim das contas, senão ferramentas, e as teorias o equivalente de caixas contendo-as – sua potência não podendo exceder os serviços que prestavam em campos delimitados, por ocasião de sequências históricas inevitavelmente limitadas -, vocês não ficarão espantados de me ver hoje vasculhar o aparato conceitual que ele nos legou, para tomar emprestado alguns de seus instrumentos, e quando for o caso, desviar o seu uso ao meu bel-prazer.

Greece has successfully created a reputation as an unwelcoming environment for asylum seekers at all levels of society and recast Greek citizens as victims. The success of the government and other right wing organisation such as the Golden Dawn has been to create a fantasy where the figure of the immigrant takes the form of a symptom of wider social issues. Although this construction does by no means appeal to all Greek citizens, it is a growing trend that can be seen to justify unofficial immigration policy and policing.
